Who am I
I have always been a Star Wars fan ever first seeing Star Wars: A New Hope during movie day in the second grade a long time ago in 1982. Sometime in 2000 I met up with a local group known as the Indy Knights. My life and Star Wars just blew to proportions that I thought would never come to pass. As the interest in Star Wars grew there was a new group of Star Wars fans / costumers called the 501st that had just formed. Some of the local people in Indiana who were just as crazy about Star Wars as I was decided to get into this group and the local Bloodfin Garrison was formed in 2002. During the first two years I was the official Bloodfin Photographer since I refused to remove my Stormtrooper armor from my mannequin, then it happened. I was talked into wearing the armor at an event. I was hooked and immediately got my 501st ID# 3778 which is my birth date March 7, 1978.

Trooping
As trooping started to become a major part of my life I have been asked why I do it? When I first started trooping and seeing a small child come up and smile it made me feel good on the inside. For me to bring the magic of Star Wars to life to someone, from a child to an adult and just make them forget about reality just for a brief moment really makes it worth while for me.

My favorite Trooping experience
Do I have a favorite trooping experience? I really enjoy all of them. Sure some of the events might be more memorable than others but I really do enjoy all of them. However in December 2009 I was able to troop the Star Wars Concert. The most memorable thing for me that night was as we were taking pictures with the fans I felt something grab ahold of my leg and squeeze. I could not see down but I heard the crowd go “Awwww”. I later found out that is was a little girl who had ran up to me and gave me a hug. That was really heartfelt by me and again, bringing the magis of Star Wars to life makes it all worth while.

What is in store for the future? I cannot say for time will only tell. I can only say that I hope the Force is with you as it is with me.
