Greetings everyone,

I registered today hoping that I could gain more information about the 501st and the Bloodfin garrison.

I live near Muncie, IN and my wife has recently (after 2 years of me asking) gave me the ok to get a set of armor. I am very excited and overwhelmed, Ive done a lot of research but I still don't know what set is best to get for the cost or where to get a set. I do know I want to be a TK to start out.

Are there any members near Muncie that could perhaps assist me during assembly when the time comes? I'm really worried about making rookie mistakes or getting my kit and messing it up while assembling it. Also a big part of the attraction to this for me is the fellowship and meeting people with common interests. I hope that makes sense and didn't sound weird. :D

I would really like to do this, But as you all know it isn't exactly cheap. That's why I'm trying to do things right the first time.

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide. I really appreciate it,

Hi there!! My first bit of advice would be to journey to our Stormtrooper detachment forum: FISD (First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment) found HERE (http://forum.whitearmor.net/).

There are many members that have done superb TKs and are ready and willing to help you.

Thanks, I'm currently on FISD. Doing a lot of reading and learning. I was wondering what is the most commonly used TK kit in Bloodfin?

Armor FX mostly, with a couple of AP suits.

I started FX, and have now began upgrading to AP.

FX, with modified TD chest and RT mod bucket... AP is tooo delicate for my frame :p

FX for me. There is something about the AP I do not like. Maybe motleik stated it best, it is to delicate. :)

Though if you go dirty (hope you do) I would change out the helmet.

Delicate? My AP armor has been to H- E- double hockey sticks, and back. Sure it has a few stress cracks here and there, but when you are facing a rabid hoard of plastic light saber weilding kids, you are gonna take some damage. It's good enuff!

Delicate, cracked, my armor this is..........

Good point. As long as it protects you from plastic lightsabers the armor is good.

I beleive the meaning of "delicate" means that it's great for the calssic trooper frame (built more like the actors in the 70's, you know - smallish, child or female like in their build), requiring less plastic and smaller outfits.

...not that I am implying anything..

:)

...or maybe it just won't fit my chubby but, so I don't even try.
