Hey guys I am thinking about joining but I am not very skilled at making things like this nor do I know any one who is. I have found an authentic Stormtrooper costume from buystarwarscostumes.com (http://www.buystarwarscostumes.com/authentic-stormtrooper-costume.html) and was wanting to know if that was up to par. If not could anyone give me some ideas of costumes that aren't too hard to make and still up to the standards.

Hello!! Welcome to the Bloodfin and Mos Espa forums!! Glad to have you! One of the first criterion for membership is whether you are 18 years of age or older. The next involves owning a screen accurate, "bad guy" costume from the Star Wars Universe.

To your question: Unfortunately the answer is no...this costume is not acceptable for membership. The selection and sourcing of a costume can be quite involved and time consuming. There are some excellent sources of armor, props, and accessories out there, but a good deal of research is required.

Since you've shown an initial interest in the classic Stormtrooper costume (TK), I would direct you to the 501st Stormtrooper Detachment, the First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment (http://forum.whitearmor.net/). Here you will find some valuable information as you begin your costuming experience!!

Thanks for the info. After doing some research on ideas for good Stormtrooper suites I am beginning think that it might be a little too difficult for me to handle. Maybe I Should start out as an Imperial Crew that seems to bit a bit more my speed for now.
